Quick Summary
This was a very interesting exfoliator, which was unlike anything I have tried before.
I liked some things about this exfoliator, but there were a couple of issues I had with it, so I gave it a 2.5 out of 5 stars.
It is a gel-like exfoliator without any particular smell.
Instead of exfoliating beads, it has rice milk, which forms small rolls while rubbing it into the skin.
The small rolls that form are said to remove the dead skin layer and expose the new skin beneath.
I really liked the feel of the exfoliator and how soft it made my skin feel right after using it.
It was easy to apply and the packaging is really nice.
It seemed like there was a film on my skin after washing it off with water.
After using it several times, I didn’t see any improvement in my skin overall.
There was not noticeable change in the tone of my skin or softness that lasted long term.
Detailed Review:
Texture/Feel
Thick gel, which is slightly watery.
A small amount goes a long way – I only needed 1-2 pumps each time.
Smell (in the bottle)
This does not have a specific smell.
Application Process
The packaging is nice and helps make the application process clean.
It is a matte black bottle with a pump.
Because of the thickness of the gel, it is a little hard to press down on the pump and gauge how much you are getting each time.
I tried shaking the bottle, just to see if it would help, but it didn’t get any easier to dispense.
It was not messy to apply and I only needed a little bit each time.
After working the gel into my skin, I noticed the small rolls forming under my fingertips.
I couldn’t really tell if it was the product making the rolls or if it was actually removing any of the top layer of dead skin.
Washing it off with warm water was easy enough, though I felt like there was a film left on my skin.
After drying my face with the towel, the film seemed to go away.
My skin felt very soft just after using it, which didn’t seem to last very long once my face was completely dry.
Any Drying and/or Redness?
I didn’t have any dryness or breaking out.
Short Term Results
Right after using it, I really liked how soft and smooth my face felt.
I noticed that it didn’t really remove all the make-up from my face, so I had to make sure and use a cleanser beforehand.
It seemed to form the rolls on my cheeks and forehead, but I didn’t feel like it was exfoliating in the small areas like next to my nose.
I couldn’t tell if it was actually removing the top layer of dead skin or not, because the small rolls that form are very soft and don’t seem to really remove anything.
Long Term Results
I liked how soft it initially made my skin feel, but it didn’t seem to last very long as the day went on.
After using it over several days, I didn’t see any difference in my pores or the tone of my skin.
