Quick Summary
I really love Era Organics Microdermabrasion Face Scrub for several reasons.
I ended up giving this 4/5 stars overall.
First, the company is based here in the United States and uses all organic ingredients.
The consistency of the product is like butter, very thick with good sized granules for exfoliating.
The smell is all-natural like walnuts and honey.
Using Era Organics facial scrub was very easy with no mess.
There are plenty of walnut granules, which did a great job at exfoliating without being too abrasive or damaging to the skin.
Washing it off took a little more effort because of the thickness of the product.
Once removed, the scrub left my skin feeling soft without residue or oil.
The long term results were great – I noticed my skin was very bright and smooth each morning when I went to apply my foundation.
Detailed Review:
Texture/Feel
Very thick, light brown buttery-like scrub.
Plenty of visible walnut granules.
Smell
The smell is alright – natural walnut/honey smell.
Not exactly refreshing, but not unpleasant.
Application Process
Application was very easy – the butter/paste is easy to scoop out of the jar with your hands before application.
It also thins out slightly as it warms on your hands and face, but there was no dripping or mess.
Exfoliating was very easy because of the large walnut granules, which are very effective with light pressure.
Because of the thickness of the product, it took several passes with warm water to really get it all off.
It did all come off easy enough and did not leave any bad residue or film.
There was no bad smell after it was removed. In fact, the scent of the orange peel really comes out when you are washing it off.
Any Drying and/or Redness?
I did not experience any drying, redness, or breakouts.
Short Term Results
After the first use, I noticed my skin was soft.
I woke up the next morning and noticed my skin was bright and had responded well.
Long Term Results
The part I liked the most from Era Organics Microdermabrasion Face Scrub was the long term results.
As I continued to use it, my skin felt more and more bright, which I noticed each morning as I went to apply my foundation.
My pores seemed much smaller and the skin on my cheeks in particular was much clearer than it had been.
Ingredients
This exfoliator contains Manuka Honey, Walnuts, Aloe Vera, and Orange Peel Oil.
Walnut is used as the granules in several exfoliators on the market due to the effectiveness and added benefits of vitamins and fatty acids, which act as antioxidants and fight inflammation.
Manuka Honey comes from New Zealand – it is used for many skin issues including burns/wounds and acts as a natural anti-bacterial/anti-fungal. It is not only used for skin ailments, but has been found to help with GI issues as well.
Price
This is made here in the US and is priced at $29.99 for 2 oz or $35.99 for 4 oz, which works out at $14.99 for 2 oz (less of course if you go with the 4 oz jar).
The price seemed very reasonable for the all-organic products and positive results.
