Quick Summary
There’s so much hype around Frank Body Scrub, so I couldn’t wait to try it.
I was really let down by this exfoliator. The worst thing about it is the application process. It’s extremely messy!! It got everywhere during application. After applying the scrub, it’s recommended to leave on for 5 -10 minutes which just adds to the hassle.
I was disappointed with results from this exfoliator. Although it did an average job exfoliating, I didn’t see any reduction in the acne or cellulite I suffer from. This product claims to cure both of those things, and it did neither.
Overall, there are better, easier to use exfoliators out there!
Detailed Review:
Texture/Feel
Frank Body Scrub is a dry product that feels exactly like ground coffee beans!
Smell
This exfoliator smells very strong like coffee. You have to be a coffee lover to like the way this exfoliator smells!
Application Process
The reason this exfoliator only got 2 stars is because of the application process. This scrub is extremely messy!!
It’s recommended to be used 3-5 times a week in the shower. To use the scrub, massage as much of the product as needed into your skin using circular motions. Leave the product on for 5 – 10 minutes then rinse off.
The first issue I experienced with Frank Body Scrub is the packaging. Although the instructions and appearance is cute, it’s not practical at all. The product comes in a brown paper package, which will only keep the product fresh for 3 months unopened. Once, the product has been opened, you have a month to use it until the product starts to dry out.
Because this is a dry product, I found it a little bit difficult to spread over my skin. I ended up using a lot more of the product than I expected. One bag of the scrub only lasted me 2-3 weeks. Which I wasn’t happy about.
This product is VERY messy!! When applying it, it got all over my shower walls, tub and shower curtain. Although, it rinses off easily, it does create quite the mess.
The last thing I didn’t like about this exfoliator is the wait time. After applying, it’s recommended to leave on your skin for 5-10 minutes. This is easier said than done! Let me tell you waiting around in the shower for 5-10 minutes with coffee beans all over you is not very enjoyable. (and it’s cold!)
Any Drying and/or Redness?
I didn’t experience any drying or redness during while using this exfoliator.
Results
I saw very average results from using Frank Body Scrub.
The scrub did a good job removing that surface layer of dry and dead skin, but that’s about it.
I was excited to use this product particularly because it claims to help with cellulite, stretch marks, acne, eczema and psoriasis. Although I don’t suffer with all of these, I was excited to see how this helped with my acne and cellulite. I have to say I was let down.
After continued use, I have yet to see any reduction in the acne I suffer with on my back or in my cellulite.
Ingredients
Frank Body Scrub has a pretty simple line up of ingredients.
The main ingredient in the scrub is roasted and ground robusta coffee beans. The high caffeine content in coffee helps stimulate blood flood. This is said to help reduce cellulite, stretch marks, psoriasis and many other skin issues.
The cold pressed almond oil included in this exfoliator claims to help hydrate your skin while promoting healing.
Price
Frank Body Scrub costs $14.96 for 7 oz. This ends up being $2.14 an oz. Although this is reasonable for a scrub it doesn’t last long and isn’t worth the hassle.
