    Quick Summary

I love Laura Mercier cosmetics so needless to say; I was very excited to try her skin polish. She sure didn’t disappoint with this one, I fell in love after one use.

I gave it a perfect 5 out of 5 stars because really, there isn’t much I don’t like about it!

In my view, this is a great exfoliator for just about all skin types.

It’s rough enough that you can really feel it removing dead skin, yet gentle enough that it doesn’t irritate your skin.

    And the results are unbelievable…

It effectively removes dead skin, leaves your face feeling extremely soft, evens out skin tone and can clear up acne!

That’s a homerun in the results department if I do say so myself :)

Overall, this is an amazing everyday exfoliator that I’d recommend to most people.

    Detailed Review:

Laura Mercier Flawless Skin Face Polish is a peach-colored cream.

It uses very fine, purifying microbeads as its main exfoliating agent, which gives it a grainy texture.  When applying this product I can see and feel the tiny microbeads.

I really like the creamy texture of this product.  It almost feels like a lotion, which makes it very emollient and easy to apply.

This one also doesn’t leave any residue behind, which was nice.

This exfoliator has a faint fruity smell to it, which smells delicious.

The scent isn’t overwhelming; it smells very sweet and refreshing.

It’s one of my favorite scents among exfoliators.

However, to achieve that awesome scent, this product contains fragrance, just an FYI for those of you who have sensitive skin.

    Application Process

The directions say to use this scrub everyday for normal or oily skin, or every other day if you have dry or mature skin.

For those of you with sensitive skin, they recommend mixing equal parts of the Face Polish with Laura Mercier One-Step Cleanser.

It’s applied as most exfoliators are, which is very simple.

Apply a small amount onto your fingers, massage into your skin using circular motions, rinse with warm water, and pat dry.

I have normal to oily skin, so I love that I could use this every day.

I really like how simple the application process is, and I found that a little bit goes a long way.

As I mentioned before, it’s nice that this product is a cream.

It helps it glide smoothly across your skin, but rinses off easily without leaving any residue behind (I hate it when it takes 5 minutes just to wash the product off).

This polish is packaged in a tube, which I’m a big fan of!

It makes the application clean and simple.  It also, makes it easier to use in the shower.

    Any Drying and/or Redness?

Because this is an everyday exfoliator, it’s very gentle and hydrating. After use, I didn’t experience any drying or redness.

Although I love pretty much everything about this polish, the results are my absolute favorite part!

I was amazed by the results I saw after just one use.

My skin felt conditioned, soft, and clean.

I immediately could tell that it evened out my skin tone, which I don’t see in many exfoliators.

I was a little skeptical about how long this would last but was pleasantly surprised that the glow it gave my skin lasted until my next use (a full day for me).

Prior to using this scrub, I had a little acne (thank you hormones!).

But after using Laura Mercier Flawless Skin Face Polish, my breakout had completely cleared up.

I really can’t say enough good things about what this does for my skin.

Although this is an awesome product, it contains some ingredients you should take note of.

The main exfoliating agent in this product is plastic microbeads.  These are made of polyethylene, which has been a controversial ingredient recently due to their negative environmental effects.

As mentioned earlier, this exfoliator also contains fragrance, which can be irritating to those with sensitive skin.

Some other main ingredients in this polish are glyercyl stearate SE and sunflower seed oil, which help hydrate and soften your skin.

Laura Mercier Flawless Skin Face Polish costs $32, which works out to be $9.41 per ounce.  This is very reasonable for a high-quality exfoliator…and definitely worth it for the results!
