Overall, I was extremely happy with Lavo Microdermabrasion Cream.
From its easy application to impressive ingredient line up, this exfoliator has quickly become one of my new favorites.

I loved it so I ended up giving this product 4.5 out of 5 stars.
Detailed Review:
Texture/Feel
Lavo Microdermabrasion Cream is a thick yellow cream. The consistency is similar to an extremely light lotion. The main exfoliating agent used in this cream is extremely fine crystals, which you can begin to feel as you apply the product to your face. The crystals give this product a slightly sandy texture, but overall are extremely fine and gentle.
Smell
Although I do love a good smelling exfoliator, many people are sensitive to fragrance or easily overwhelmed by scents.
I was pleasantly surprised that this product truly is unscented and doesn’t contain any artificial fragrances or perfumes.
Application Process
The application of Lavo Microdermabrasion Cream is simple.
Apply a small amount to clean, moist face; massage into skin for 1-2 minutes avoiding your eye area, then rinse with warm water. Follow up with your favorite moisturizer.
Because this is a cream based exfoliator, it was very easy to apply onto my skin; however, I was worried it would be difficult to rinse off. I was very impressed with how easily the product came off with warm water.
Although I found this exfoliator to be extremely gentle, it’s recommended to be used once or twice a week.
Any Drying and/or Redness?
I didn’t experience any drying or redness after using Lavo Microdermabrasion Cream; however, it’s instructed and important to follow up with moisturizer after use.
I found this cream to be extremely gentle, but it’s not recommended for sensitive or irritated skin.
Results
I really enjoyed the results of this product.
After rinsing the product off my skin felt extremely smooth and refreshed without feeling dry at all.
Although the cream didn’t do much for my acne, it did an amazing job removing any dry, flaky skin I had.
The fine crystals used in this are very gentle and left my skin feeling extremely hydrated.
Ingredients
The main exfoliant used in this cream is fine aluminum oxide crystals. These are the same crystals most commonly used in microdermabrasion machines. Aluminum oxide crystals are often preferred because they contain bacterial killing properties, which aides in fighting acne without interacting chemically with the skin.
Another main ingredient in this exfoliator is aloe vera gel. I am a huge fan of aloe vera so I was extremely happy when I saw this is the ingredient line up. Aloe vera is a common ingredient used to help sooth and heal the skin.
Vitamin E and Chamomile extract are two more ingredients that can be found in this product. Due to its antioxidant properties, vitamin E is often used in cosmetics to help reduce sun damage and fight the signs of aging. Chamomile is key in many skin care line ups as it’s known for its anti inflammation and healing properties.
Price
Lavo Microdermabrasion Cream retails for $49, which comes out to $24.50 an oz. Although this product lasts a long time, it’s expensive and more than I like to pay for my exfoliator. I was able to find the product on amazon for $25, which is a much better deal J.
