    Quick Summary

Ole Henriksen’s Walnut Complexion Scrub is a good, but not great exfoliator.

I would consider it to be a harsher exfoliator but with proper use can deliver pretty good results.  It helped clear up my acne a bit and left my skin glowing :)

As for one of the negatives, it was difficult to rinse the product off– which was a bit annoying.  And it may be a little rough for those with sensitive skin.

But overall I like this exfoliator as it’s definitely above average.

    Detailed Review:

    Texture/Feel

This scrub is very thick. It has a dense, slimy gel-like texture to it.

I found this to feel a little odd in my hands but wasn’t a big deal once I put it on my face.

You can definitely feel and see the large walnut granules in this exfoliator.

    Smell

Ole Henriksen Walnut Complexion Scrub has a very fruity scent.  I think it smells like fruit punch :).

It smells really good and unique compared to other exfoliators I’ve tried.

    Application Process

Ole Henriksen Walnut Complexion Scrub can be applied morning or night with warm water, massaging it into your skin with circular motions for 1-2 minutes.  They recommend using it two times a week.

This product doubles as a cleanser, which I absolutely love.  However, if you have makeup on you’re supposed to use your regular cleanser first.

I found it difficult to completely wash off the scrub once it was on.  After rinsing it off with warm water I was able to remove almost all of the granules but did have to wipe a few off with my towel when drying my face.

Also, I wasn’t a fan of the packaging.

It’s packaged in a jar, which makes it difficult to use in the shower and gets under your nails when you have to scoop it out :(

    Any Drying and/or Redness?

Although it claims to be gentle, I found this to be a pretty rough exfoliator.  I did experience a little bit of redness after use.  However, it went away within minutes.

Luckily, I didn’t experience any dryness after using this product.  However, because it’s on the rougher side, it’s important to moisturize after using the product.

    Results

I saw really good results after using this product!

My skin felt extremely soft and I noticed that areas of dead skin I had prior to using the product were gone.  My skin even had a slight glow to it!

Keep in mind my skin broke out before I started using this product so I increased the use to 3 times a week.  I was amazed how much it helped clear my skin up :)

    Ingredients

This exfoliator uses walnut powder as its main exfoliation agent.  That’s in there to help remove dead and dull skin cells leaving you with a brighter complexion.

Aloe vera and chamomile are two ingredients they included to help soothe the skin and reduce irritation.

    Price

Ole Henriksen Walnut Complexion Scrub costs $24 which works out to $14 per oz.  This is relatively inexpensive for a quality exfoliator.
