Quick Summary
I’m a huge fan of Punch Skin Care Exfoliator.
This exfoliator comes in a ceramic bottle with a pump, which makes the product easy to apply. The application of this exfoliator couldn’t be simpler. Just apply and rinse off…no wait time :)
Although the walnut granules used as the main exfoliant in this scrub are a little rough, the results I saw after continual use are tough to beat. Immediately after use, my skin felt extremely soft and restored. I also noticed my acne cleared up after about a week of use.
Overall, I gave this exfoliator 4.5 out of 5 stars and would definitely recommend it.
Detailed Review:
Texture/Feel
This product is a light colored, creamy scrub. The main exfoliant use in the scrub is walnut shells, which give this exfoliator a rough and gritty texture.
Smell
This scrub doesn’t have a scent to it, which I think is a plus. Although I do love a good smelling exfoliator, many people are sensitive to fragrance or easily overwhelmed by scents. Fragrance free exfoliators are always a safe bet :)
Application Process
The application process is very simple.
It’s recommended to be used 2x a week for best results. To use this exfoliator: wet you face with damp water, gently massage the product onto your skin for about a minute, rinse and pat dry.
I loved how easy the application of this scrub is. It really is as simple as it sounds. It applies and rinses off effortlessly, without me having to scrub tediously.
One thing I would advise, is to be extremely gentle as you massage the product onto your skin. The walnut shells included in this product are asymmetrical, which can be a bit abrasive and uncomfortable. Therefore, it’s important to not apply too much pressure during application.
Any Drying and/or Redness?
I didn’t experience any drying while using this exfoliator.
As mentioned above, the walnut shells included in this product are asymmetrical and can be a little rough. I did experience a little redness after use. This went away within five minutes and can be common after exfoliating.
Results
I was very happy with the results I saw from Punch Skin Care Exfoliator.
After using the product my skin felt smooth and refreshed. It did a great job removing any dry skin cells I had prior to use.
After continual use, my acne began to clear up and my skin tone evened out. My skin even had a very subtle glow to it, which I loved.
Ingredients
One of the main ingredients found in this exfoliator is vitamin C. Vitamin C is often included in skin care products because it’s a natural antioxidant. When applied to the skin, vitamin C is said to help reduces sunspots, clear up acne and keep skin looking younger.
Salicylic Acid is another key ingredient in this exfoliator. Salicylic Acid is a common acne treatment that has been prescribed by dermatologists for decades. I was very happy when I saw this among the list of ingredients.
Price
Punch Skin Care Exfoliator costs $18.55 for 3.2 oz. This works out to be just under $6 an oz., something I would be happy to pay again for the results!
